One week down... a whole lifetime to go

On Friday, Jackson turned one week old.  Normally I'd over exaggerate and say something like "OMG! How insane of a week!"  Not the case this time.  It has had it's ups and downs but mainly it's been a case of adjustment.

The week started out with bringing Jack home and chinese food.  Lily was still very nervous about Jack, Casey was starting to feel sick and I was tired.   Now, here we are on Saturday and we had our first family outting.  My dad is in town (and quite video camera happy at the moment) so we went to Alley-Oops diner in Elkhart and went to see some old tractors outside of Elkhart.  Casey's still not feeling that great, but he sucked it up and smiled even when Dad whipped out the video camera and started taping everything... and somewhat annoying us.  And then, he video taped the waitress.  Thankfully, he didn't get me mouthing "I'm sorry!" to the poor waitress who was definitely embarassed.

ANYWHO... Yeah, after lunch we went to see tractors which normally I'd enjoy (I share an interest in watching my dad restore anything old, I think it's cool... he's currently back on a tractor phase.) but I didn't make it out of the car.  Jack woke up and was hungry so he got changed and fed in the backseat of the car.  Ah, the Matrix's first diaper change!  Casey and I sat in the car with Jack while Lily ran around the what I can only describe as a tractor grave yard with my dad.  I actually had fun.

After that, we headed back home with a pit stop at Sam's Club for some pizzas, lunch meat and we also wanted to get Lily a Notre Dame bean bag chair.  We walked away with pizzas, lunch meat and cheese but no bean bag chair.  After checking a few places, I came to the conclusion I'll have to find one on the 'net. No big deal.

We came home and Casey played some halo and we're probably going to spend the rest of the night eatting some pizzas.   I'm lucky if I make it past 10PM anymore, so we'll have to see if I make it through more than one movie.  Breakfast will be interesting tomorrow.  Normally, I go to breakfast with dad.  It's kind of a tradition we have, but with Jack that's going to be difficult the next months.

Must go, Jack is hungry.

You're a smart cookie Jess. I'm assuming a bean-bag chair with Notre Dame on it is now cheaper than a regular plain bean bag chair.
