I got to test drive this today...
The only difference between this and the one that I drove is that the one I test drove had white stripes on the bonnet. OHMYGODITWASSOMUCHFUN!!!
I completely blame it on Casey, because I asked him yesterday if I could go test drive it and he said I could and I just had WAY too much fun for my own good. Luckily, I wasn't the only one having fun because Lily had a blast driving around (we even had the top down for a bit despite it only being 50 degrees... hey, that's shorts weather up here!) and the dealer guy said that I "really knew how to handle that car." Granted, his word doesn't have much stock simply because he is a dealer and trying to get me to buy the car, but yeah... It was hella fun and I have decided that if I ever get another car, it most certainly will be a Mini Cooper Convertible, practicality be damned. (Now watch, my next car will actually be a big, honkin, gas guzzling SUV.)
Seriously, though, I cannot say enough about how awesome this car was to drive! The handling alone was amazing! I had heard the Mini's handling compared to that of a go-kart (and I had a go-kart when I was growing up so I know how they handle), and they weren't kidding. The responsiveness was incredible, the breaking was good (not that I breaked that hard to begin with), the gear shifter was quick and easy to use and... well, WOW!!! That's about all I can say to sum up my feelings for this car. I have never been quite so excited about test driving a car, either. I haven't shut up about it, with the exception of about 20 minutes of Soul Calibre.
